Food Fit Philly

Sugary drinks (sometimes called sugar-sweetened beverages) are all around us:

  • at the corner store,
  • in workplace vending machines,
  • at restaurants and fast food sites, and
  • on thousands of billboards, TV stations, and web pages.

It's no wonder that Philadelphians drink 70 million gallons of sugary drinks per year. That's nearly 40,000 calories per person per year. That's enough to gain over 11 pounds in one year!
