Good Food, Healthy Hospitals Initiative

Hospitals promoting a culture of health through food

Good Food, Healthy Hospitals brings together healthcare institutions to make the healthy choice the easy choice and create a culture of wellness through food.  Philadelphia hospitals serve and sell food to thousands of patients, staff and visitors.  As such, they have great capacity to positively impact their communities.  Get Healthy Philly joined with The Common Market and the American Heart Association to build this initiative and transform hospital food environments.  To date we have engaged 18 Philadelphia hospitals who have pledged to offer healthier and more sustainable food and beverage options to patients, staff, and visitors every day.  We continue to expand the work in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Health engaging institutions across the state.
