On Friday, April 26, 2019, community, organizations, faith leaders, the Philadelphia Department of Public Health and the Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services came together to build a movement for community health, healing and justice. The goal of this conference was to creatively build a movement for health justice in Philadelphia, highlighting the intersections of mental, physical, spiritual and community health. This year, over 400 people attended the conference from across the City of Philadelphia and beyond, nearly double the number of people who attended last year. In the coming months, we hope hold post-conference events to reconvene folks and further conversations around action steps that will draw us closer to a healthier, more just Philadelphia.
