Welcome to FoodFitPhilly

FoodFitPhilly is the Nutrition and Physical Activity website for the Philadelphia Department of Public Health – Division of Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention (CDIP). Our public-facing social media is known as Get Healthy Philly. Our work aims to cultivate safe, healthy, just and livable communities in Philadelphia. Our activities promote food justice, water equity and active environments.

Our Values

We believe all people should live to their fullest potential in environments that allow them to grow and thrive.

We recognize Philadelphia’s health is shaped by structural factors, including systemic racism.

Our Process

We take a people-centered, data-driven, health justice approach to programming and policy design. We look to solutions grounded in research and build evidence with our own data. This process drives policy and environmental changes to improve health for all people.
